Cannot open remote files mounted with rclone

I have a remote file system mounted with rclone on my Fedora 41 machine. LibreOffice is not able to open files from there. When I double click one, I get this:

If I copy-paste the files on my local machine, it works fine.

I am using

Version: 24.8.4.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 480(Build:2)
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.12; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

It fails not only for Calc, but also Impress (and probably Writer).

So far, all other softwares are able to open (and edit) files in this file system.

like Apps/FileRoller – GNOME Wiki Archive ?

LibreOffice is using .lock-files. Can it create them “there”? (Will need write permissions not only for the file, but also for the folder.)

And as we live in modern times: Security settings? AppArmor or SELinux activated? LO asv"traditional" install or flatpack. If snap/flatpack: Check rights of containers to access anything outside your $home
