Cannot reformat LibreCalc values

I cannot reformat LibreCalc values that were exported to CSV then saved as LibreCalc. They are preceded by an apostraphe.

Check “Detect special numbers” in the import dialog.

The apostrophe shows this data was imported as text.
.
Also you need to know: Format does never change the actual type of your data. It may show for a 1 a “true”, date like 1899-12-31 or a Weekday “Monday” for example, but a Text stays text and Numbers are numbers.
.
You can try to “repair” this by selecting the column and select from menu data “text in columns”. In the following dialogue change the type of the column according to your needs. This will result in a changed type, wich can be formatted.
.
Even better would be to avoid this situation by setting the right type in the dialogue on import of the .csv Note: As .csv itself stores no hint of intended types this information must be added by the user on import.
