cannot save changes in calc get input/output error message

the error message comes up with a red disc icon at the bottom of the spreadsheet

Please edit your question to include at least your OS and version, and version of LibreOffice. The exact text of the error message would also be useful.

Perhaps for the benefit of others who have the same problem and search for a solution, consider telling what your software is, and how you solved the problem.

with the level of information you provide, i can only guess

  • Defect or Full hard drive?
  • User Permission error?
