Hi, using LO 25.2.4.3 on win 11-24H2.
I cannot save any document, get an error message like this:
Error saving the document Untitled 1:
Object not accessible.
The object cannot be accessed
due to insufficient user rights.
How can I solve this?
Thanks.
I think you need to tell us your operating system and the folder you are trying to save to and where it is located.
As I said in my post, it’s win 11 24H2!
I am trying to save a file into the “my documents” folder, same as I’ve done for years without nonsense erro messages.
I think you will need to add LibreOffice (soffice.bin) to your anti virus’s Allowed list.
I have used LO for years and never had a need for adding it to the Windows antivirus app. I wouldn’t even know how to do that.
Can you share what anti virus you use?
The one that comes with win 11!
Could be “controlled folder access”.
If you activate this “protection from ransomware” you have to tell the OS the software is allowed to be allowed to write in folders…
No, that had been turned off all the time!
have you try to save the document some where different of “My Documents”?,
for example… “Images”?
Now I can’t even open any doc in that folder, access is denied.
It seems a problem with the permisions of the system or antivirus
Maybe, I haven’t messed around with any permissions.
How do I check?
It might be worth checking if another AV has been installed inadvertently.
Click Start menu > Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection and in that dialogue, click on the right-hand side, Manage providers. If you are using the Microsoft provided anti virus it will show Microsoft Defender Antivirus if another one is installed, it will show the name of that anti virus.
I had checked that, no, there is no other anti virus installed.
beginning to look like 20 questions… have you performed a checkdisk routine? Is you HD on its way out
No, my SSD is barely one year old, it’s not on its way out!
