Step 1: Open Writer and Open Tools > Options. Select: Load/Save General. Under Save, verify that Save AutoRecovery Information every X minutes is UN-checked.
Step 2: Select Apply and then OK, closing the window.
Step 3: Wait 11 minutes, typing some text so that un-saved changes are present.
Expected result: AutoSave does not occur.
Actual result: AutoSave occurs. The screen shows a Save progress bar at the bottom of the document, just as though one manually chose Save, freezing the document for a second.
Also if AutoRecovery is set On for every 60 minutes, it saves every 10 minutes anyway.
Workaround: use the Save command every 9 minutes, or more frequently.
