Can't change object's color in LIbreDraw 7.4

I recently upgraded to Debian 12 and copied over all my configuration files from my previous Debian 11 installation to my new Debian 12 installation.

When I draw an object (like a line or circle) or type some text and change it’s color, the color change doesn’t take effect. The color menu indicates the color has changed, but the object stays black. I can change other attributes like line width and transparency, but not color. I did not have this problem on previous installations.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong and how I can fix this?

In Tools > Options LibreOffice > Accessibility have you set High Contrast to Enable? Or have you set High Contrast mode (or similar accessibility option) in Debian and left High Contrast in LibreOffice set to its default of Automatic?

Thanks @EarnestAl. I indeed have High Contrast set in Debian.
