Can't copy-paste table rows

Copying a row and using “Paste Special / Rows Above” doesn’t seem to preserve the cell splits of the copied row. For example:

You can work around this by splitting the table, pasting as a new table, then merging back the 3 tables, but it’s somewhat annoying.

As a simple workaround, add the new row, split the merged cell, then paste.

I think I tried that, but it doesn’t preserve the cell widths, and it’s a pain to get them to be the right size.

Click Edit > Paste Special > Paste as nested table.

In LibreOffice 7.5.8.2 I get a partial success

But in 24.8.0.0.alpha0 I get
