Can't create a new database

Am trying to create a database so I can print labels for Christmas cards. I opened LibreOffice and went to Help. Instructions were to choose File - New - Database. When I tried this, it did not open the Database Wizard.
I have the names and addresses I need in some Access files from using MS Office 3. They are .mdb files. Can I convert these to LibreOffice database files?

Am using LibreOffice Version
Build ID: 420m0 (Build 2).

No answer–I have the same problem. Are there step-by-step directions for creating a DB?
