I tried to send an .odt file to another Mac user and she said it was ‘read only’ even though I had not protected it. She could not edit it.
Later I went to ‘get info’ on the file and sure enough no one else could edit the file except me.
This is the weird notice she got when she tried to edit it:
"The lock file could not created for exclusive access by Libre Office, due to missing permission to create a lock file on that file location or lack of free disk space.
Select Notify to open read-one and get notified when the document becomes editable."
What the heck does that even mean? Is there something on her computer that is still stopping her from opening it?
