Can't get a change to a Calc Chart to save

Hi all. I have created a simple bar chart in Calc and whenever I make a change to the layout, it doesn’t get saved. Here’s what’s happening:

I double click on the chart and on the top menu, select x-axis. In the dialogue that opens, I select the Position Axis/Between Tick Marks. The change shows immediately and I save and close the Calc sheet and LibreOffice.

When I reopen LibreOffice and the Calc sheet, the chart has reverted to showing the bars centred on the tick marks i.e. my change is not saved.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Please upload your ODF type sample file here.

Thanks. Here is a little sample. I hope I have done that correctly.

Curiously, when I created this, the bars in the bar chart were actually showing between the tick marks, as default.

However, as I tried changing them to ‘on the tick marks’ and then back to ‘between the tick marks’ the problem soon appeared. I can’t now select to show the bars between tick marks and have this save for the next session.

Which version of the LO are you using?

Oh sorry I didn’t mention that. I created the first chart in an older version of LibreOffice, so I downloaded and installed the latest stable version today (7.3) thinking that it would fix the problem.

The sample database I’ve sent you has been created in version 7.3.

Your sample file not work in LO 7.3.5 nor LO 7.4.2. When I recreated the graph (in 7.3.5), it worked once or twice with changed column position, but after than not.

Thanks.

So, does this suggest that it’s a bug? If so, how to I flag up to the developers?
