Can't get music to loop

Cannot get music to loop throughout presentation; drops out after first slide. Inserted music on first slide only, the rest “no sound.”

I SAVE after every change and noticed that “loop until next sound” does not stay checked. I check it, save, exit, go back in and it’s not checked.

This presentation was originally done in Word – should I start over? Actually, just made a new TEST presentation, input same parameters as “Peonies” and music drops out after first slide.

What should I do? Thanks much.

Normally I do not use audio in Impress. I have done the following:

• Select slide 1.
• In the toolbar “Standard” select “Insert Audio or Video”.

• Select your audio and click “Open”.
• You can reduce the size of the audio icon.
• Select the audio icon.

• In the sidebar at “Properties|Media Playback” select “Repeat” if necessary and start by clicking “Play”.

• Start your presentation.

HAVE TAKEN STEPS YOU SUGGEST; MUSIC STILL QUITS AFTER FIRST SLIDE. Music plays manually with no problem, but I want to turn presentation into video so music needs to be embedded.
Any other suggestions?
