Hello. I installed LibreOffice 6.1 after not being able to open my previous version due to a sudden registry issue. However, the new version is having the same problem. I wanted to screen capture the error message, but that’s not coming up now either. I do remember it saying it was a fatal error, registry problem, mentioning background path, I believe. Obviously, I’m not an IT person. It seems like I won’t be able to use LibreOffice at all now, since installing and re-installing has not worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
LibreOffice “registry” is not a Windows registry - I suppose that resetting user profile should help.
Thank you very much. I will check that out and try out the solution.
Ok. Since the program isn’t opening at all, I did the command line suggestion, but it won’t open that way, not being recognized as “an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file.” I think I need to fix the register somehow.
Please just follow the “LibreOffice 5.2 and older” way.
