I have been trying to use LibreOffice to open pdf’s and I get the following:
General Error.
General input/output error.
I just updated to 25.8.3 and am using Tahoe version on Mac. Any ideas?
It sounds as if you don’t have permission to open from that location. Maybe give LibreOffice full disc access.
How do I do that?

The setting should be in Apple logo > System Preferences > Security & Privacy. Turn on full disc access for LibreOffice
You might be able to just give permission to access the folder, see If you don’t have permission to use files on a Mac disk – Apple Support (UK)
