Can't remove this element

My wife uses a template file to create her dictation files and recently, something has shown up in the file that she can’t figure out how to remove. here’s an image of it highlighted.

We have tried deleting, removing formatting but we can’t get it to go away. We can push it down the page by texting but we can’t remove it.

Could someone tell me what this is and how I would go about removing it?

If text contains confidential data, replace it by nonsense or “lorem ipsum”. But make sure the artefact is still present. And don’t forget to mention OS name and LO version (there are subtle differences between platforms and releases).
