Captions: unable to add text

Hi,

I’m having problems typing into an existing caption field below a photo. When I place the cursor at the beginning of the existing text the type or paste text, nothing happens. I do not see what I typed or pasted. However, the yellow Undo arrow appears and shows me what text I typed. I can undo the text but the text never appears in the caption area.

Making the photo smaller doesn’t make the text appear. To work around this, I need to type in front of the 2nd letter of the caption, then backspace the first letter off.

Hope this explains the problem correctly. I reset my profile and that didn’t help.
Using LibreOffice Writer 6.0.1.1 (x64) on Windows 10 Home
