Change Text Selection colour/border

How can I change the text selection highlight colour & remove the dark border?

It looks like a design formatting effect rather than just text selection to my eyes, so I’d rather just have a generic light colour without a border when I select text.

Thanks.

Highlight properties are retrieved from the OS (you didn’t mention it, nor your LO version).

Customize the highlight attributes in the OS if it allows to do so.

Thanks. Sorry, I’m being particularly absent minded today.
Manjaro Linux 21.1, LibreOffice 7.1.5-2

I’m fairly new to Linux, I havent noticed such an option, but I’ll search online!

Since you are new to Linux, you must know that GUI’s are not imposed on you. You can choose between different Desktop environments, the most common being GNOME and KDE but there dozens others from simple tiling window managers to very complex and sophisticated ones (among these, GNOME and KDE). I don’t know which one Manjaro installs by default. You should have in some menu something like System Configuration, Configuration Panel or Configuration Center. Explore to find the highlight colour (under KDE, open System Configuration, Look & Feel, Colours and select Selection background after requesting customization of the current theme).

The highlighting in LO looks nothing like the highlighting I see anywhere else in my OS (Windows 10).
