Can someone please tell me how to change the background color of my documents in writer to something other than white? It hurts my eyes.
I’ve been searching but can’t find a simple answer. Great program, but this is frustrating.

Hi
Try Tools
▸Opions
▸LibreOffice
▸Application Colors
▸General
▸Document background
Note: This option only does what is announced: changing the background color in the application, it does not change the actual color of the printed document (or exported in pdf format)
Regards
Thanks, but there is no option choice in the tools menu – it’s in Preferences, under “Libre Office.” That’s why I was so frustrated with this – I knew it was there, but these things are hard to find. I think this kind of thing needs to be worked on. All I wanted was to change the colors because it hurts my eyes.
You did not specify using a mac. The position of this option is system dependent (mac).
Do not reject the “fault” on LibreOffice
By the way – I don’t seem to be able to ask any more questions. I had another one regarding keyboard shortcuts, but when I try to click on the “ask your question” button it just takes me back to the top of the web page. When I log out and log back in my question isn’t posted. I’ve tried it three or four times, but I can’t get the question posted. When I click on my user name it takes me to the page that has my question, as if it never was uploaded. Can you tell someone about this?
