Changing Default Font in Text Box in LibreOffice Impress

Hi everyone.

Is there a way on how to change the default font of the text box that you make in Impress (by pressing F2 key) every time you draw a new text box? It always uses the default font every time I make new text boxes (Liberation Sans).

I tried searching for its option in the Styles side pane and I had no luck finding any solutions. The only option I get is the font for the Title, Subtitle, Outline 1, etc. that changes the font of every new slides that you create. I am interested in changing the default font once I draw a text box.

Or is this feature not available yet?

I am currently using 7.3.1.3(x64) version on both Windows 10 and Fedora Linux 35.

Thank you,

Set default font for text fields inserted via F2.

Open Impress with the simple layout.
In the sidebar at Styles/Drawing styles right-click on the drawing style “Standard” (or it could be “Default”) and choose Modify.
In the tab “Font” select the desired font and OK.
Now save the document as a document template.
Choose File>Document Templates>Save as Document Template... from the menu.
In the dialog, enter a name for the template, choose a category, and check mark “Set document template as default”.
If you now open Impress again, all text fields of F2 have the changed font.

You can undo the whole thing.
Choose File>Document Templates>Manage Document Templates from the menu.
In the dialog click on the “Manage” button in the upper right corner.
Select “Reset default presentation document”.
Restart LibreOffice.

Thank you so much! This will save a lot of clicks for me. I attached some screenshots for those who will have difficulties finding it at first (just like me). Thank you again very much!

You can still click on the little roof “^” at the top left of my answer by the “Hrbrgr” logo (the counter goes from 0 to 1) so the community knows it was a qualified reply. Thank you very much.
