Can I change the Figure category name to something else? Let’s say I am editing documents in multiple languages, and each language refers to a figure differently.
Please mention OS name, exact LO version and save format. Do this by reopening your question so that everything is in the same location. Click on … under the question then on the “pencil” icon to enter Edit mode. If timeout has elapsed, use a Comment (not a Solution).
I assume you’re trying to caption an “object”.
When you Insert>Caption, a dialog pops up. Most of the time, you choose from the Category drop-down menu. But you can change wording to whatever you like:
- click at end of “Figure”
- erase word with Bksp
- enter whatever word you want
- adjust other settings as usual
- OK
