I need to change the default application that opens for weblinks in LibreOffice, normally Writer documents are the source. I have attempted to change the OS preferred applications in Linux Mint 18 MATE by editing the OS file that controls these (defaults.list). The changes work for files on the system and they open in the sandbox web browser. However the changes do not effect Libre Office/Writer. I am wondering if LibreOffice has a separate setting that I modifies the default application it uses? Or is there some file I can edit that will allow me to give the correct command line code so it can execute a different program or just somehow tell it to use the correct desktop launcher? Thanks for taking the time to read this!
