charting problem blank graph

when i try to create a chart I get a blank chart.

I have selected all the numbers and set format as a general number but it does not make any difference.

Then I noticed (even after formatting above) that in the input bar each number has a ’ before it.

The numbers were from an export file.

Can anyone advise how to format all the numbers to get rid of the ’ in each cell.

Hello,

  • Select the column(s) having the ' character showing in the formula bar
  • Data -> Text To Column
  • Click OK (no further adjustments required in the dialog)

That was great it worked perfectly. I could only do one column at a time but no problem really. THANKS
