Charts, axis label padding/margin

How do I add some space between the labels and the axis on a chart? The positioning (cross other axis, labels inside/outside…) is of no use.

2 less than elegant hacks:
Double click on the chart to enter edit mode.
Double click on the axis you wish to edit.
X-Axis

1. Go to Font Effects tab.
2. Add an overline.
3. Change colour of overline to match the wall of your chart.
   Y-Axis
4. Go to Numbers tab.
5. Uncheck ‘Source Format’
6. Change format to add spaces before or after the label.
