I am using the formula =L1+J2-K2 to keep my check register. After 375 rows the formula gives the value #VALUE!. Am I doing something wrong?
HELP for #VALUE tells:
The formula yields a value that does not corresponds to the definition, or a cell that is referenced in the formula contains a text string instead of a number.
Check first that your referenced cells are in fact numerical, not text. Ctrl+F8, or View | Value Highlighting will help.
The first two columns show in blue and the last column (the one with the formula) shows in green. LibreOffice 7.3.1.
Why would it work until that point.
Linux mint 19.3
Nobody except you can answer this question!
If I play with it I can finally get it to work. Every cell is formatted the same. All dots are dots and not commas. If I knew the answer, I wouldn’t be asking.

If I play with a spreadsheet I can create a #VALUE! for example by entering a line break (Ctrl+Enter) in a cell but that is just one many possible ways. Now that you have corrected it, I would put it down to data entry error of some sort, that happens.
Thank you for your answer. I found that if I wait for the dollar to highlight then it works.
