Checkbox deduct from number if ticked

Hello all,

I managed to find how to put the checkbox into calc, however I was wondering if there’s a way to have it deduct from a number/cell if checked.

I’d like it so, as seen in the picture, in the “leftover box” it has my income amount and when the checkbox is checked it takes that amount from the leftover number. (to mark it as paid)

Any help would be appreciated!

Attach a sheet if the question/answer/comment is about sheet functionality. the attached file may of course contain a reduced and de-personalised example.
Only attach images if a post is explictly about an isue of the view.

You can link it to a cell, that changes cell value, between true and false, 1 and 0. What you can use to make a conditional sum, with SUMIFS function.

I’m not really sure what or how SUMIFS work, could you help me please? :grin:

This isn’t a solution, but should be a reasonable suggestion.
I just hope that my tendency to show more general ways and possible issues, and in a way to instruct, will be accepted. I’m a teacher after all. This may not be curable.
