Once a I create a codebar with “create QR code extention” how can I use it with a codebar scanner ?

QR codes are intended to be printed. They are often attached to something as identification for a database application, or printed and stuck somewhere to give hyperlink to a website. The scanner reads the QR code and interprets it to pass on to the next piece of software, a database or a browser, or something similar. I hope this helps, Al
Barcode scanners can’t necessarily read QR codes. For very simple barcode, Code 39, you can install a font called free3of9.ttf which will display a barcode for your text (no spaces and * to start and end it). For the common supermarket type ones like EAN 13 then you need one of the options mentioned in Create barcodes in calc
