Color Bar stuck in Sidebar area

I opened the Color Bar and tried moving it to the right side of the Workspace hoping the color tiles would form a long vertical column. The shape of the Color Bar remained the same, but somehow it got to the right of the hide/reveal Sidebar line. It now takes up a large portion of the screen with a huge area of gray beneath it. I can’t find a way to move it. See attached image.

Any ideas on how to get the Color Bar back to being a small floating palette?

This is in Version 7.4.6.8 (X64) running on Widows 11.

The link suggested using Ctrl + Double Click in the Gray area. When I did this, the Color Bar disappeared. When I tried to go to View in the Menu Bar to reopen the Color Bar, the dropdown menu was gray with no text. This was true of all menus. When I tried to close the program to restart it, the Save Document? dialog was also gray with no text. Thankfully, I knew Tab + Enter would choose so Don’t Save, so I was able to close the Draw document.

When I opened a new Draw document, the menus were still gray with no text. Surprisingly, a text document in Writer had visible text in the menus.

I had to use Restart in Safe Mode and choose “Reset to factory settings>Reset settings and user interface modifications” to get the menus working properly again in a Draw document.

That didn’t solve the Color Bar problem, however. The Color Bar still opens in the area to the right of the Hide/Show Sidebar divider as in the image above.

Yes, I tested it on myself and had the same effect. Since I work with two screens I didn’t notice it right away, the dialog “Color bar” was very small (about 1cmx1cm) on the second screen. I dragged it bigger and since then it works without problems.
If you have only one screen and don’t see this small mini dialog, it could be behind your working window.
Just have a look.

You cannot integrate the color bar inside the sidebar. But you can undock the sidebar and make it smaller and then put the color bar under it.

I finally saw the tiny and almost transparent Color Bar near the top of my screen. Only the C and grayed out X were showing. I managed to move it and resize it. Now, I can move it more as expected.

If I drag it to the right side where a dark gray outline forms to take up the whole vertical area of the Workspace just to the left of the Hide/Show divider and release my mouse, however, the Color Bar actually gets place to the right of the Hide/Show divider rather than the left and the X to close the Color Bar disappears.

If I drag the floating Color Bar to the left side, it behaves similarly.

Anyway, with your help I know understand how to deal with it without going into Safe Mode.

I really appreciate your efforts Hrbrgr.
