Controlling length and line thickness for dividing line between body text and footnotes

In Writer (eg V25.4.2.3), are there any controls for the length, stroke thickness and above/below spacing for the line which separates body text from any footnotes? The Footnotes style controls each individual footnote but not the block of multiple footnotes on a page and hence its dividing line.

I can’t find anyone who’s asked that question already.

By the way, has the default style for the Footnote Characters character style changed in the last year or so? I created a document a couple of years ago and the numbers for the footnote text at the foot of the page had a superscript attribute whereas recently-created documents give the number the same attribute as the related text (ie no superscript). It toook me a while to work out how to change it.

That’s for documents saved as ODT in both cases.

Configuration for footnote “geometry” is found in page styles.

Go to Footnote tab. All your desired settings are there.

It is not recommended to ask two unrelated questions in a single post. No idea if Footnote Characters changed. But if it did, it is older than a “couple” of years ago.

Thanks for that. I had a few problems initially, but that was because I changed settings on

Styles | Manage Styles | Page Styles (button) | Footnote | (right click) Edit Style | Footnote tab

rather those on

Styles | Manage Styles | Page Styles (button) | Default Page Style | (right click) Edit Style | Footnote tab

(Point taking about not asking unrelated questions!)
