I have a 768 MB docx file and it is taking around 24 mins to convert-to pdf --headless in latest 25.2 (taking more than hour in older version like 7.5.9.2), Is there a way/config changes to make this faster ? or atlease some improvement we can do.

probably has to do with images.
what’s your current hardware? and what the usage of CPU / disk during the 24mins ?
what if you convert first to .odt ?
Writer loads a large portion of the file into memory for editing, and if the system does not have enough RAM, performance decreases significantly.
Factors such as high-resolution images, complex tables, and many styles or sections increase file size and reduce Writer’s handling capabilities.
Compress images, optimize multimedia content, and save the file in ODT format before converting.
Use images in lightweight formats such as JPEG for photographs and PNG for graphics.
