The copy function work with multiple selection, provided that:
- they all start at the same column and are the same width (with rows between selections, but with no spaces in each row), or
- they all start in the same row and are the same height (with columns between selections, but with no spaces in each column).
When you Paste, empty rows/columns in between will colapse.
If do you Paste Unformatted Text¹ (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+V
) you will get the first row (if data are selected by rows), or the Text Import dialog (if data are selected by columns).
¹ Most probably, this is your case.
Tested with LibreOffice 7.0.6.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
