Copy / Paste not following structure

(CALC)

If I highlight cell A1 , C1 and F1 and want to copy the formulas or whatever to A2, C2 and F2 I usually just highlight the 3 cells then I go to B1 and COPY but for some reason it doesn’t put them in the right place. it puts them in A2,B2 and C2.

Any Idea why that would be?

Thanks

Dan

I should include Version 5.2.2.2, Ubuntu-gnome

Calc is programmed to do this way. Thus, you can group (via copy and paste) data from ranges that share the same rows or the same columns.

If the content of B1, D1 and E1 are no formulas, you can select from A1 to F1, copy, choose menu Edit - Paste Special - Paste Special… (the same that Ctrl+Shift+V), check Formulas and Add, and press Enter.

Paste Special - Add - Formulas

Done with LibreOffice 6.3.6.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.
