Copy several lines from web and pasting in several rows

Good day all,

I have just shifted from Excel to Calc, when i select some data from web, in excel when you paste it will automatically paste in next row if there is any indentaion in source, e,g.
Abc
Csf
Ghj
Etc.
, but on Calc it would paste all in one cell, and i could not find anything to do so.
Is there any way to do the same in Calc?

A simple paste will paste exactly into separate cells for me when I copy from the example you give, using LO 7.2.5 on Ubuntu 20.04. If you are having pasting problems, you might try right-click>Paste Special>Paste Special>HTML. Yes, there are two levels called “Paste Special.”

You can automate the process with base. Given a link, it can open the site…select all text…bring it back into your app where you can keep it in a huge text object or variable and search and extract bits and pieces at will…taking only what you want or need. i find this very useful…it cut a grueling manual task of pouring through about 200 websites down to 13.5 mins that runs while i’m getting my morning coffee.

Thanks, after receiving yours, updated the LO and it will do the job with simple paste. Thanks
