Corrupt ODS file doesn't open

Hi! :wink:

I was working on an ODS file and the electricity shut down. It came back in 5min. When the system was ready I opened again the file and click Yes to recover the file. Actually nothing happened. The file doesn’t open now.

When I open the file LibreOffice offers me to choose what file I’m opening for example:

  • Text CSV
  • ODF Formula
  • EPS Encapsulated Postscript
    …
    and so on.

Nothing works actually. The file is absolutely corrupted.

Could please advise how to fix this problem?

Things you might want to try:

  • Using open dialog to locate the file and try to open it.
  • Renaming .ods file to .zip file and trying to extract contents of that.
  • Fix the ZIP file using any ZIP repair tool and repeat previous steps.

But most likely you are unlucky.
