Counting the difference between MIN and MAXC

Hi

I’m in Calc version 4.3.5.2

I have a column with dates in it and I want to find out how many entries there are.

So I can do a MIN(A4:A3000) and MAX(A4:A3000) to find the first and last dates in column A (minus the headings) but I want to find out the NUMBER of dates that have been entered, not the date difference.

Any thoughts?
