Creat & print page of AVERY style lables manually same for comercial sticky labels

How do you make a page of avery style labels.
I wish to make a sheet of stick on labels for my paper file folders.
I have been reading and searching the docs for two days.
I get to file - new - label, Then create the size I want then type the text.
how do I create another which is not on top of the existing one I just created. I can not seem to separate the labels from each other.
Every time I do a copy and past I get another label on top of the pile.

I also can not find the place to call up the stock AVERY type labels to be able to fill in the separate stick labels manually.

Your request calls for an answer with an involved process. However, I’ll will try to provide a simple reply which you can hopefully build upon.

When you go to File>New>Labels, a Labels dialog should open. In the Labels tab, select Sheet in the Format area. You should see boxes to the right of this for choosing Brand and Type which should simplify the process. Otherwise you will need to do some measuring.

If you are going to fill out the labels manually, don’t worry about anything else on this tab. Proceed to the Format tab.

If you were able to find the Brand and Type in the Labels, most of the information on this tab will, hopefully, be filled in. Otherwise, you will need to measure and fill in the information manually. In any case, make sure the number of Columns and Rows is accurate.

In the Options tab, make sure Entire page is selected. In this tab, you can use the Setup… button to set up your printer although you can leave that until your ready to print.

Click the New Document button at the bottom of the dialog.

A new document should open with the correct size page displayed. You should see separate boxes indicating the location of each label forming the correct number of columns and rows you entered earlier. If you don’t see these, go to View in the Menus Bar and make sure Text Boundaries is selected.

Then, simply click in each box and fill in the information. You will save yourself time by first setting up a custom paragraph style in the Styles deck of the Sidebar so you don’t need to manually format each label.

I hope this reply gives you enough information to complete your task.
