Create a row break in a Writer table at cursor

Hi,
in the MS word-processing editor there is a tool that allows the user to draw a new row-break across a table to subdivide the existing row at the paragraph of the user’s choosing; in Writer I can only find ‘split cells’, which doesn’t allow the user to specify where the split is made, and doesn’t seem to offer much advantage over ‘insert row above/below’.

In this example split second row at orange line:
LO_table_splitRow_2025-02-27

Am I missing something?

I don’t think so. Insert row below, select text and drag it into the new row works fine for me.

If you want a tool to replicate Word (365?) then you should file an enhancement request, How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki

You must select the cell (or cells) you want to split to split cells, or may be you want to split the table?

Thanks, but I know how to do that - what I’m trying to achieve is splitting a multi-paragraph row between specific paragraphs.
