Create named Calc table (like Excel table)

Is it possible to insert a named table like in Excel. I don’t care about a named range - I’m looking for table functionality.

There’s no such thing here. Explain what you want to get out of the smart tables?

menu:Data>Define… however, this does not provide the same functionality. It is a special kind of named range which can remember its sort orders, filter settings and which may be linked to the record set of some database.

For anything like that, I use to use a database.
