Creating a new spreadsheet in calc

No problem up till now.
Now whenever I try to open a new spreadsheet it is filled with the same data from an existing spreadsheet every time.

How can I create a new empty spreadsheet?

Maybe you set an existing document/template as the Default template? Accidentally?

If you did set a document as the default template then click File > Templates > Manage templates. In the dialogue that opens, look for the template with a green tick. Right click it and select Reset Default. Close the dialogue.
