Crossed outwords

Suddenly I found a line through the middle of my typing in doc. How did it get there and how do I get rid of it.

Thanks

Select the block of words with a line through plus any space at each end, then do one of the following:

  • Press Ctrl+M or click Format - Remove direct formatting to remove all direct formatting. This will remove any bold, italic, colour or other directly applied formatting too
  • Click Format - Character - Features and change the setting that reads Strike through to None
  • Click the strike-through icon in the Sidebar under Properties

From my phone so there might be small variation in names

With such a lack of information, it is difficult to understand what you experience. In addition to @EarnestAl listed, you might have enabled Track Changes feature. You didn’t mention OS name, LO version and save format. Until “recently” (can’t remember the exact LO release), Track Changes state was toggled by Ctrl+Shift+C which is very close to Ctrl+C (shortcut for “paste”). If you pressed Shift while attempting to paste, you enabled the feature which shows a strike-through for deleted text.

This ergonomics issue has been fixed by removing the shortcut.

Thank you, Eernest. That worked.
