Cursor movement on recent files crashes my session

Sometimes, rather rarely, but annoyingly, moving the mouse cursor on the “recent files”-screen crashes my active session and I have to log in again. I’m using linux mint 18.3 and libreoffice 5.4.6.2

I’d love to offer more details, but I haven’t been able to figure out exactly when this happens or find a proper crash report.

Which desktop manager (Cinnamon, Xfce, Mate…)?

Have you ever tried to reset your LibreOffice user profile (this will also clear your recent files list)?

I’m using Xfce. I’ll try resetting my libreoffice user profile, the problem is I have no reliable way of reproducing the crash so it’ll take a while to know if it worked.

If the login session crashes it’s quite certainly not a LibreOffice problem…
