Customize the Application UI colors in dark mode?

Hi there,
First of all, Yeah, there is a dark mode now, finally! Thank you very much to all of you who did this.

I curios if there is any possibility to change the colors of the UI -
I would like to tone done the bright white colors of the borders of the tabs -
searched about this but I didn’t find anything about customization options.

Is this possible?

And if so, how?

Thanks in advance and best regards,
MT.

Yes.

The whole UI will respond to os/DE Light color theme or Dark color theme (and a toggle to bypass will drop at the 7.5.2 release). Application colors of the the UI are by default set to Automatic and generally will follow the os/DE color theme.

If you need greater control/customization use the Tools → Options → Application Colors panel to set color of specific UI elements to a color value other than default “Automatic” value.

The ‘LibreOffice Dark’ Color scheme offers an example of colors that could be set to support Dark color mode use–but you can configure your own color scheme and save it for reuse.

The old Personalization themes should be avoided as they require major refactoring to be of any use. Keep the ‘Default look, do not use Themes’ selection for best experience.
