I’m trying to make budget tracker, so I need to make dependent dropdown lists. When I choose “Income” in one dropdown, it should allow me to choose only income categories in another dropdown. Issue is that i’m using cell J4 for example, with data validity “list” and manually write down “Income, Expence, Bills”, in cell K4 I have data validity with “cell range” where I used INDIRECT(J4), while I previously defined named range according to transaction type. It breaks after I press it couple times, it changes itself so J4 data validity becomes to “cell range” too and trying to reference to itself with INDIRECT(J4), other time it changes vise versa. Please help and sorry for my English

You don’t have to use INDIRECT. This is not Excel.
