Dataconnection help, mail merge(?) in writer from calc sheets, sorted or filtered in writer by one value but contaning complex structures of values

I’m handling a lottery style game for several people, but not as a profession, so I’m trying to improve the efficiency by automation. My question is regarding creating a document for printing and archiving, containing all necessary information and data for each player and their tickets. My intuition is to use the Mail Merge function, that i have knowledge of writer, however i face a problem setting it up with my current data set. If a another way in the Libre Office suit is feasible, do tell me.

My challenge: Setting the whole deal up, so a single document with mail merge for export of individual files (multi paged if needed) can be set up sorted by the players name, with the challenge being that i can’t figure out to have the needed data of all the tickets for a given player, on a single row in the spreadsheet. (So to make general mail merge feasible with my current skills)

The goal:
To create a sheet for PDF and printing, sorted by each player. However, each player can not only have several tickets, but also tickets in completely different games, that can’t be merged in the spreadsheet I’ve setup (not unique numbers). So the result would be comparable to the following screen snippet:

I’ve highlighted areas that i’m planning to populate with data from the spreadsheet.

The data:
On the first sheet, each tickets are listed in the game are listed individually - formated as text, as you can see it can included letters and characters. After that, a game group is specified from a list selection and the name is selected from a list of the cell range on sheet 2. Thus, each ticket will point to updated player information if changed, as each player can have many tickets. In sheet two, each player is entered once, with name and contact information. I’ve rather shortened it here, the names for example are concatenated to a full name in another column, with contact information expanding several as well.
