Deepl API with Windows

I have a free DEEPL translating account with an API.

DEEPL: https://www.deepl.com/translator

The mac LO 7.5 version works fine but with the Windows LibreOffice 10 installation. I get the following error: “Requested clipboard format is not available”

Any ideas?
TIA

What is DEEPL? Are you sure you posted on the ad hoc site? This one is dedicated to LibreOffice.

If indeed your question is related to LO, please edit it to make more descriptive and understandable by other users (we are users like you). Mention OS name for which you complain (W10 apparently), LO version and any information needed to identify the issue and eventually to reproduce it.

@mikekaganski Yes, I have filled in the required API URL fields (https://api-free.deepl.com/v2/translate) and my Authentification key (045b39e0xxxxxx:fx)

but under Windows 10 the text to be translated returns always the error “Requested clipboard format is not available”

Under LibreOffice on the Mac, it just works!

@Villeroy Thanks, but I do not really understand any of this. Sorry!

The first point I’d look at is “clipboard managers”. Do you have any clipboard-history active?
.
My guess would then be the html-format not being available, perhaps because a clipboard-history only stored text…

Thanks. I have disabled my clipboard manager “ClipboardFusion” but translation function is still not working. Same old error "Requested clipboard format is not available”.

The source (linked above via the release notes posted by @Villeroy ) has the kind of test I expected on html-format.

if (nT != SotClipboardFormatId::HTML)
    {
        throw datatransfer::UnsupportedFlavorException()

But this does not tell why it fails. I’d suggest to file a bug-report at bugzilla. Please tell the precise version of LibreOffice you tested as well as version of Win10 (just in case …).
.
Things to look at: 32/64-bit version, same versions on Mac and Windows. Did you re-start Windows after switching of the clipboard-manger? And last: Limits on your DeepL-account? Does your Mac gets answers, after Windows got nothing?

Yes, re-started Windows after removal of Clipboard manager. 64bit on both Widows and Mac (LOffice 7.5.0.3). DeepL account OK with validated API and largely sufficient available data.

Yes on Mac everything works as expected. Translate a word, sentence, paragraph in any of the suggested languages without any problem.

I have created a bug report on BugZilla https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153461

It is a translator that I like to use online/free to the extent supported. In my humble experience, the program works excellently.
I don’t have the mentioned API in operation because the provider requires credit card data upon registration “to avoid fraud attempts”.

[Translated by DeepL.com from German to en-US. I have not made any improvements or changes Editing options are offered in a well structured form. I hope this isn’t seen as spam. Bracketted text not from DeepL, but from my brain.]

I also was hesitant when I saw that a credit card was necessary in-order to get an API for LibreOffice but went ahead with a single use CC and it was not debited but, if I understand correctly, was just used for “justification” purposes.

Same problem here after registration. “Requested clipboard format is not available”
In my account, the API is api-free.deepl.com

I set this up, also, but how do I call that function in CALC? I want to have content of one cell translated into another cell.

Write a Calc-Addin, an extension with spreadsheet functions.
