Default folder - changes in saving and retrieving?

Our home has four computers on which LibreOffice resides.

On three of them, I have …\Dropbox\Today as the default, but if I choose a file from another directory - say …\Dropbox\Fun - work on it, and save it, and then go [Ctrl-O] to open another file, LibreOffice assumes that I want to go back to …\Dropbox\Fun and opens that listing.

On the fourth computer, LibreOffice defaults to …\Dropbox\Today every time. I could open 500 files in a row in …\Fun and it will go back to …\Today every time. This happens on the computer on which I recently installed the most recent LibO, 7.3.2.

Is this a new policy that was introduced with LibO 7.3? Or is it a setting that I can’t find? Or is this (or does it sound) unintentional and I should file a bug report? I really don’t want to hassle the developers if it isn’t necessary

Thanks.

…\Dropbox\Fun and opens that listing.

This is the same for me in version 7.3.2.2. and 6.4.7.2 tested.
IMHO, it is also fine like this.
The opening after path “Today” always takes place only after a restart of LibreOffice.

There is a setting to use system dialog or LibreOffice own dialog. For me they behave differently on Win10. Windows would stay at the last used folder, while LibreOffice-dialog will always start in my home folder “documents”.

Hmm. Both of the installations have

Options > LibreOffice > General > Open/Save Dialogs > Use LibreOffice dialogs

unchecked. So I should be using the Windows 10 dialog, and it still doesn’t stay at the last used folder. So I don’t really know what to do. Sorry.

Some things in LibreOffice are dependent on:

But I don’t know if it applies here.
