Delete/update extension TexMaths

Hi,
I am using LO Writer 25.2.3.2 on Fedora 42.
On my system I have installed TexMaths 0.49 and texlive-lualatex*. In the TexMaths system configuration, I can only choose between LaTex or XeLaTex. The LuaLaTex compiler is not shown.

In the LO Writer extensions menu TexMaths 0.49 is shown. After selecting this extension and selecting ‘check for updates’ LO writer crashes.
The ‘delete’ option for this extension is greyed out.

How can I remove this extension and install the latest version (0.52.3)?

Ben

I tried to manually add the latest version. In order to do so, I selected ‘add Extension’ and tried to open ~/Libreoffice/TexMaths-0.52.3.oxt.This resulted in the following error screen:

Schermafdruk van 2025-06-08 21-08-00

Neither the directory nor TexMaths-0.5.1.1.oxt exist. The only cache directory I found was
‘/.config/libreoffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/lu149643bccw.tmp_’.

How can I rebuild this cache entry?

Upon further searching, I found that TexMaths 0.49 comes bundled with LibreOffice and cannot be otherwise modified.

According to the documentation, version 0.52.3 supports the use of LuaLaTex. So in order to work with LuaTexJa and TexMaths, I must have the latest version.

What is the procedure to ask the administrator of LibreOffice if the latest version can be added?

Only if your distro maintainer, or your system administrator, provides you a custom package with that extension bundled. LibreOffice project itself does not bundle TexMaths at all.
