Design Areas Missing / Not Creatable in Report Design

I’m creating a simple report from a query, grouped / summarized on one column.

When I create the report in “wizard” mode the " Header" area is present, but not the “> Footer”. When I open the report in “Design” mode, both -header and -footer areas are missing.

In both situations the “Edit->Column Header/Footer” option is greyed out and not accessible. I’ve got an “accumulate” total I need for one column but can’t get place it without the -footer?

How do you add that area?

Thanks, RobertG. I found your GUI reference. It seems the default form action to grouping is to enable headers only, not footers. Just another un-intuitive menu location and default for the GUI.

There has never been created a version of ReportBuilder, which will work with columns. So Edit → Column Header/Footer couldn’t be connected to any function. Should be removed or better function should be created.

You could insert a Report Header or a Page Header (and also …footer) through Edit. Could also be you are missing a group header or a group footer. Go to View → Sorting and Grouping to get the right dialog for this headers and footers.
