I created a document in Word 356 and saved it as .odt. When I open the Tools > Chapter numbering, some levels have the old style menu and some have the new openoffice 3.0 style menu (as stated in the help documents). How do I convert everythinng to the new style? Thanks!
The UI has no option to convert the type of numbering.
Make a small new document, which has the desired chapter numbering, all needed levels. Make a copy of your document. Save the copy and the new document to the flat format .fodt. Open both files in an editor. Search for <text:outline-style style:name="Outline"> and </text:outline-style>. Replace all between these two texts, including these parts, from the copy of your document with the similar part from the new document. Save the copy.
