Disable Bookmark and Annotation Checker?

Using LO 7.5.1.2 on Ubuntu 20.04.

When I am writing a document, put in a couple of comments, and save the document, I get the following popup:

Beware - This document contains:
2 Annotations
0 Bookmarks

This is INTENSELY annoying. Firstly, you have to click OK or press Esc to get rid of it, but secondly, and even worse, doing this rewinds the document to the first page, and I then have to scroll down to where I was typing.

Is there any way to switch this stupid thing off? I’ve looked in every menu I can think of, and no joy.

Insert Bookmark

Comment

I’ve done that, but it’s not a solution to the issue. What that means is that before saving, you need to remember to insert a bookmark, then save, then get rid of the popup, then go to the bookmark. That’s four steps when one (a simple save) would suffice if there was some way to turn off the popup…

What is your save format? odt or doc(x)?

It’s odt, the default.

Is it this warning?

In Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Security > Options under Security Warnings, have you got this box ticked that says When saving or sending?

Yes, seems similar.
save

Unfortunately, I unticked all those security boxes earlier, and it makes no difference…

It doesn’t come from LibreOffice probably; says Beware, not Warning, it calls them Annotations not Notes, and what is that drawing pin icon on title bar?

Do you have any extensions, bibliography or grammar add-ins?

Added by the window manager (which one? GDM?). Usually means the window can/will appear on all desktops, which makes sense for important notices.

Brilliant! I had an extension for Footswitch3 loaded. So I removed that, and the annoying popup has gone. Thank you so much.
