I would like to install LibreOffice on a headless Ubuntu server for document conversion. Is it possible to install without quickstarter, or disable quickstarter from the command line or by editing a config file? I will not have access to the LibreOffice GUI.
I installed LibreOffice on the headless server and it appears that the quickstarter is NOT enabled by default. So the answer is, yes, it is possible to install without quickstarter.
I wanted to use LibreOffice from the command line to convert various input documents to PDF files, and this can fail if the quickstarter (or other instances of LO) is running. Works fine.
Quickstarter is not enabled by default. But question is ‘how to disable it from command line’ and I don’t know. But this might be helpful in case you have Quickstarter running and you don’t know how to disable it: convert to PDF while Quickstarter running.
