Display image of part of a document?

OS Mojave 10.14.6, LO 7.0.6.2

I want to display part of a document in another Calc document, but simply linking the cells with an = sign won’t do for this purpose…

Is there any way to show an image of another document in Calc- sort of a projected section of the original Calc sheet, in another Calc sheet? Not a data link between the two, but merely a window that shows what is happening in the original document>

Solutions/Software outside of Libreoffice (that are compatible with my OS) are welcome too.

That has to be a data link, doesn’t it?

Does Insert > Object > OLE Object (Link to file) work for your purposes? Although you could just open the original in another window.
